Jamie was a wonderful host. She gave great recommendations for what to do in the area and how to best enjoy my time in Niagara on the Lake. I had an incident and had slipped and hit my head and she even went above and beyond and brought me to the emergency room that evening and stayed with me as I received a few stitches. Breakfast in the morning was perfect and although I could have gone without getting hurt, I landed on some of the most gracious hosts I have met and still had a wonderful stay.

Jamie and John are great hosts. Their home is comfortable, conveniently located and welcoming. Jamie was especially helpful in booking a wine tour with Grape Escape for me which was terrific. She also gave me excellent suggestions for lunch and dinner. The location was perfect, a ten minute walk to downtown for theatre, restaurants and shopping.

This is a fabulous little place – really homely and a pleasure to stay in. The rooms are astonishing and the owners are just lovely – a different freshly cooked breakfast every day and each was delicious. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We have stayed multiple times at Mary Street Bed and Breakfast (at least 3 or 4 – I have lost count). Jamie and John are two of the most lovely, hard-working, gracious hosts. We don’t even bother looking at other places. We always stay here. The rooms and bathrooms are super clean, amenities are plush, the extras are above and beyond, the breakfast is so delicious (I love her scones and jams/jellies plus the hot breakfast with the eggs and potatoes – so filling!!), and sitting and enjoying a visit with them is so much fun! Truly, the best place to stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Going back again in January and looking very forward to it!

My mother and I stayed here last summer. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. I loved having the small patio off our room so we could read outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. When my mom asked me what I would like for a Christmas present, I told her that I wanted to go back to the Shaw Festival and I wanted to stay at the Mary Street B&B. So we’re coming back!

My best friend Tania and I stayed here on May 17th as we had high tea at the Prince Of Whales Inn, a wine tour and a play. My friend did all the planning and had nothing but good things to say about Jamie our host, and both she and John were amazing hosts. Very friendly from the time we arrived, gave us a nice tour and were very easy going and open. I’ve never stayed at a B&B before, and this was an amazing experience. Picture a warm and welcoming old home with charm, color and comfort. The room we stayed in had two twin beds, the rooms was recently redecorated and it felt like something out of a Mauve Binchy novel with a cozy sitting room, soothing colors, and birds in the background. Jamie was very helpful in guiding us into town and fun things to do and see and man oh man can she bake and cook. The breakfast was out of this world! We had these lovely scones that were soft if the middle and a nice cruchy crust, with carrot cake jam or APPLE PIE JAM!! I cannot even describe how great it was. Yogurt with berries, and a nice egg furtata, with a baked apple, juice and coffee.

What I loved about this B&B was the home itself, the comforts it provided and the warmth of Jamie and John who were the perfect hosts. I would highly recommend this B&B as a must see and must book.

    Thanks,
    Tracey & Tania

We spent the last 3 nights of our honeymoon at the Mary Street B&B and really loved our stay! We felt right at home, all our questions were answered, wine tasting tickets were readily available, and breakfast was yummy. We took advantage of the hot tub (which was wonderful after a long day of biking), the soaking tub in our room, and slept really well on the king-size bed. Jamie and John knew all the best places ($10 all you can eat mussels, anyone???) and were great to chat with. We can’t wait to go back for our first anniversary!

Stayed in mid April. Loved the proximity and walking distance to the town. The room (Casablanca?) was very clean and so cozy. It had a private jacuzzi tub Which was great. Beautiful large covered balcony. We felt totally at home here. Jamie was very warm and welcoming and her breakfast was delicious. We will definitely recommend this b&b. Thank you so much.

Even though this is late in coming (we stayed in April, 2014), it doesn’t change the fact that we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at your bed and breakfast! The Casablanca room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfasts very good (and filling!). We felt right at home, and John was an excellent host. We appreciated all the information about the town and places to go. Thanks for a great stay; we’ll be back for sure.

This was the first time since our four year old was born that my wife and I spent a night away with just the two of us. Our stay at the Mary Street Bed and Breakfast, with our hosts Jamie and John, could not have been more perfect. They were extremely accommodating from the very beginning by making everything so easy. We came up early on the Saturday, with our bikes, as we planned to tour some of the local wineries. Jamie helped us plan out our bike route and provided us with coupons for free samples or tasting at the wineries we were visiting. Their suggestions of things to do and see over the two days were fantastic and lots of fun.

We stayed in the Casablanca room which was absolutely lovely. Its huge balcony/deck, which stretches along the front of the entire house, was a real gem and the large jacuzzi tub all made for a very romantic evening for us. In addition, the rooms are all quite separate from each other (not like most bed and breakfasts) that gave us our own deep sense of privacy and intimacy.

In addition to our hosts friendliness and hospitality, Jamie also makes the most amazing homemade jams. Who knew Jam could taste like fresh baked apple pie.

Thank-you Jamie and John for making our weekend the absolute best!

    Love!

Spent a glorious weekend at the Mary Street B&B with my five favourite friends. Nothing short of spectacular. What a beautiful B&B, rooms so tastefully decorated. The hosts, Jamie & John bent over backwards to make sure we wanted for nothing. Breakfast so tasty and you won’t come away hungry. Jamie’s homemade jam is excellent, not to mention her scones. We highly recommend this B&B
